Electrolytes for heavy sweating: ESS Fresh Up

Regulating its body temperature is a complex process in the horse's body.
Intensive training, demanding competitions or extreme heat in summer mean increased sweating in order to keep the body temperature constant and not to overheat. Fever illnesses can also lead to significantly increased sweat production.

By sweating, the horse not only loses a lot of fluid, but also minerals and salts that are involved in many metabolic processes - the result is possible dehydration.
Dehydrated horses are weak, tired and show a severe loss of performance. During this time, horses often instinctively refuse to take in water so as not to further dilute the remaining vital substances.

How does ESS Fresh Up work?

ESS Fresh Up provides the horse with a combination of: Electrolytes, salts and vitamins that can prevent dehydration. The balanced composition regulates the electrolyte balance and eliminates dangerous fluctuations in the pH value.
The horses are more vital, fresher and more productive even under stress. In the case of feverish illnesses, a faster recovery is supported.

When does my horse need ESS Fresh Up?

ESS Fresh Up can be fed before or after strenuous training with high sweat loss. Horses that sweat heavily due to high summer temperatures or feverish illnesses also benefit from feeding.

Applicable, among other things, to:

  • during training with high sweat loss
  • at high outside temperatures
  • for tiredness and exhaustion
  • in case of loss of power
  • for feverish illnesses or colic
  • in severe diarrhea
  • with muscle cramps
  • if water is refused
